BUSINESSES who want to develop climate-friendly products and services can apply for funding under a $75 million federal program.
Science and Research Minister Kim Carr has announced that applications have opened for the Climate Ready program.Dollar-for-dollar grants of up to $5 million are available for projects such as water recycling, waste recovery, renewable energy technology and biotechnology.
"A huge global market is developing for clean and green technologies," Senator Carr said.
“If there are IT solutions that address the impact of climate change, they will certainly be considered.
"Australian industry has the creativity and drive to deliver to world markets in this area."
